Introduction:

Dr. Poornima Shah had a brilliant medical training period having won several awards, gold medals and university rank positions. After her post-graduation in Paediatrics, she went on to train in Clinical Neurophysiology at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre. She was a visiting fellow at the Comprehensive Epilepsy Clinic at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Kerala, at the Clinical Neurophysiology unit of National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London and at the Hospital for Special Surgeries, New York. She is certified as International Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology with additional certifcation in Intra-operative Neuromonitoring,

Dr. Poornima initiated the comprehensive intraoperative neuromonitoring program in Mumbai. She founded Clinical neurophysiology at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Surya Hospital and started the intraoperative neuromonitoring service at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre. She has been an integral part of several training programs for all subspecialties of neurophysiology. She has rich experience in testing adult and paediatric patients including newborns in all aspects of neurophysiology testing.
