Introduction:

Padma-shri Dr. Indira Hinduja is a renowned Obstetrician and Gynecologist and Infertility specialist in India. She is the pioneer of In-vitro Fertilization, embryo transfer and credited the delivery of India’s 1st scientifically documented test-tube baby (1986), the 1st Gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT baby 1988) and the 1st egg-donation baby(1990).

After completing primary education in Municipal school being a good student she did M.D. in Obstetric & Gynaecology and also awarded Ph.D in the Human In-vitro fertilization and embryo transfer from Mumbai University. Her continuous zest in research field has broaden the vision in stem cells development, embryo implantation, metabolomics and detecting of genetic abnormality in embryos.
