Introduction:

Dr. Amjadkhan Pathan is attached to Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre as a Consultant since 10 years.  He has gained immense experience in Renal transplant as it is one of the oldest transplant centres in the country and one of the busiest with largest number of renal transplants in the city.

Dr. Pathan has gained good experience in high risk transplant (ABO, Sensitised) and is active part of the Cadaveric program here. There is an active D.N.B Nephrology training curriculum going on that is accredited by the National Board of Examinations with 2 seats offered per year. He is involved in managing the outpatient, inpatient and emergency cases and also to provide support to nephrology related issues whenever necessary.

Dr. Amjadkhan is proficient in procedures like kidney biopsies (both native & transplant), putting temporary as well as semi-permanent tunnelled vascular lines. He is managing patients requiring different modalities of renal replacement therapy which includes Haemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation. He also has experience in the Plasma exchange procedures for renal as well as non-renal indications.
